Is he a villain in the game?
In Devil Survivor, you eventually have to side with one of several characters who all have different ideals. Yamato's goal is to make the world a meritocracy - a world where the strong rule and the weak are eliminated. So depending on how you feel on that, he could be an ally or a villain. ^^ When you first meet him though, he wants to throw you in prison. xD But after that, he helps you get rid of the evil monsters.
